2 Visit Culzean Castle and Gardens – 18th century Culzean Castle on the Ayrshire coast, Robert Adam’s final masterpiece is the most visited property of the National Trust for Scotland. Situated in approximately 500 acres of woodland and formal gardens, and boasting three miles of varied coastline.
3 Visit other great Ayrshire castles and historic houses – highlights include Dumfries House, Blairquhan Castle, Dunure Castle (ruin), Dundonald Castle, Greenan Castle (ruin) and Rozelle House in Alloway
4 Ayr town centre shopping - Ayr Central Shopping Centre is the number one shopping destination in Ayr hosting big retail names including Debenhams, Next, Primark, HMV, JD Sports and River Island.
5 Scottish Maritime Museum - here you will find exhibitions, ship models and a children's activity area. Guided tours start here throughout the day. You can also visit Scotland's "Cathedral to Engineering", and much of the Museum's collection inside, including shipbuilding machinery and machine tools, smaller boats, canoes, lifeboats, and much more.

7 Visit Arran - On Arran you can travel back beyond the mists of time and visit prehistoric standing stones on Machrie Moor, while Brodick Castle (National Trust for Scotland), the Isle of Arran Heritage Museum, Balmichael Visitor Centre and Arran Aromatics are well worth a visit. Climb Goat Fell and marvel at the fantastic views across the Firth of Clyde. Arran boasts several golf courses too.

9 Visit Ayr Flower Show– held annually in August, Ayr Flower Show is Scotland's answer to the Chelsea Flower show and since 1960 has been delighting and captivating visitors to the town as well as being a red letter weekend in the local events calendar
